The swallowtail design is specifically engineered to sink the tail in deep snow, which naturally lifts the nose for effortless float. This shape allows you to surf through powder with less leg fatigue, though it does require a slightly different riding style compared to a standard directional board.

These components are critical for splitboard performance because they eliminate the 'wobble' often felt between board halves. The Karakoram clips pull the halves tightly together, while the Boltless Bridge removes hardware from the base, resulting in a more solid, cohesive feel that mimics a standard solid snowboard.

The Sintered 8000 base is a high-performance, dense material designed for speed and durability. It holds wax exceptionally well and is built to withstand the rigors of backcountry touring, though like any high-end base, it performs best when maintained with regular waxing.
