Snafu Mobeus Detangler

A detangler, often called a gyro, allows you to spin your handlebars 360 degrees or more without tangling your brake cables. It uses a dual-cable system to ensure your rear brake remains functional regardless of how many times you rotate the bars.

The Mobeus is designed for standard BMX frames that feature integrated gyro tabs on the headtube. If your frame does not have these tabs, you will likely need a separate gyro tab kit or a bolt-on plate to install it correctly.

While any detangler system introduces slightly more friction than a straight cable, the Mobeus is engineered to minimize drag. You can expect a responsive, consistent feel, though it may require precise cable tensioning to match the snap of a single-cable setup.

You will need standard bike tools, including cable cutters and hex keys. Because you are replacing your brake cables, you should be comfortable with basic cable routing and adjustment to ensure the system operates smoothly.

You will need a dual-cable setup, which includes an upper gyro cable that splits at the lever and a lower gyro cable that connects to the brake. Ensure your brake lever is compatible with dual-cable systems to get the best performance.
