The chemical recycling process breaks down polyamide into its original raw materials, allowing Beal to rebuild it into a high-quality fiber that performs identically to virgin nylon. You get the same strength and longevity you expect from a standard climbing rope, just with a significantly lower carbon footprint.

Unicore technology bonds the rope's core and sheath together. This prevents the sheath from slipping or bunching, which is a critical safety feature if the rope is cut or damaged during a fall, ensuring you can still rappel to safety.

The Dry Cover treatment provides a solid layer of protection against moisture, making it suitable for damp conditions or occasional snow contact. However, if you are planning on frequent ice climbing or heavy alpine use, you might prefer a rope with a full dry treatment on both the core and the sheath.

With a diameter of 8.4 mm, this is a half or twin rope, not a single rope. It is designed to be used in a system with another rope, making it an excellent choice for multi-pitch trad climbing or alpine routes where you need to manage rope drag or rappel long distances.

While it is impressively lightweight, the rope maintains a standard, supple hand that is easy to manage through belay devices. It doesn't feel flimsy, but because it is thin, you should ensure your belay device is rated for ropes in the 8.4 mm range to maintain proper friction.
