Diaface Moonflex Diamond Files

The patented diamond pod design allows these files to cut and polish simultaneously. This dual-action approach significantly reduces the deep striations often left behind by traditional continuous-surface diamond stones, resulting in a smoother, more refined edge finish.

The grit you need depends on the state of your edges. Use the 100 or 200 grit for removing burrs and initial shaping, 400 or 600 for general maintenance and sharpening, and the 1500 grit for final polishing to achieve a mirror-like finish.

These files are 70mm x 25mm x 4mm, which is a standard size designed to fit most common edge bevelers. They are specifically compatible with tools like the SVST Double Duty Side Edge Beveler and the FK/SKS Multi Tuner.

While they can be used dry, using them wet or with a dedicated polishing solution is recommended. Liquid helps clear debris from the diamond pods, preventing clogging and ensuring a cleaner, more consistent cut.

Keep them clean by wiping away metal filings after each use. If they become clogged, a light cleaning with a soft brush and a bit of solvent will restore their cutting efficiency.
