Victor M200 Rat Trap

These are traditional snap traps and pose a significant risk of injury if triggered. They should always be placed in areas inaccessible to children and pets, such as behind appliances, inside cabinets, or within tamper-resistant bait stations.

The Victor M200 is specifically designed for indoor use. Using them outdoors exposes the wood to moisture, which can cause warping, and increases the risk of accidentally trapping non-target wildlife or pets.

A small amount of peanut butter or a similar sticky, high-protein food works best. Place a pea-sized amount directly on the trigger pedal, ensuring it is secure so the rodent has to apply pressure to retrieve it.

Always wear disposable gloves when handling a triggered trap. Once the rodent is removed, you can sanitize the trap with a mild bleach solution or disinfectant if you intend to reuse it, though many users prefer to dispose of the trap entirely for hygiene reasons.

It requires a bit of practice to set safely. Hold the trap firmly on a flat surface, pull the kill bar back slowly, and carefully lock the metal arm into the trigger pedal notch while keeping your fingers clear of the snap zone.
