The GlideSkin neoprene seal is significantly more comfortable for all-day wear because it is less restrictive and less prone to causing skin irritation. While it offers a slightly less watertight seal than latex, it is more than sufficient for moderate river and flat-water paddling.

This is a semi-dry suit, meaning it is designed to keep you dry during splashes and immersion in moderate conditions. While the four-layer Eclipse fabric and TIZIP zippers are highly effective, it is not intended for deep-water submersion or extreme whitewater environments where a full dry suit would be required.

Yes, it is well-suited for stand-up paddling. The athletic cut is designed to allow for a full range of motion, and the breathable four-layer fabric prevents the overheating often associated with heavier, non-breathable gear.

The integrated socks are made from the same durable four-layer Eclipse fabric as the rest of the suit and feature double seam taping for added longevity. To maximize their lifespan, we recommend wearing them inside water shoes or sandals rather than walking directly on abrasive surfaces.

The drop-seat relief zipper allows you to use the restroom without having to remove your entire suit or PFD. It is a major convenience feature for long days on the water, especially when you are layered up for cold weather.

The suit itself is a shell designed to keep you dry, not to provide thermal insulation. To stay warm in winter, you should layer synthetic or wool base layers underneath according to the water and air temperature.
