FCS Hatchet Connect Longboard Fin

The FCS Hatchet Connect is designed specifically for the FCS II tool-less system. While it is compatible with most standard longboard boxes, you will need to use a screw and plate if you are installing it into a traditional US box rather than an FCS II box.

The hatchet shape features a large surface area that acts like an anchor in the water. This provides exceptional hold, which is ideal for keeping the board stable while you are walking to the nose or holding a line in steeper sections of the wave.

This fin is purpose-built for traditional longboarding, specifically nose riding and heavy-footed turns. If you are looking for a loose, pivot-heavy feel for high-performance maneuvers, you might prefer a smaller, more upright fin.

The FCS II system allows you to insert and remove the fin without needing a fin key or screwdriver. This is particularly useful if you want to adjust the fin's position in the box while you are at the beach to fine-tune your board's turning radius or stability.

A 9-inch depth is a standard, versatile size for most longboards ranging from 9'0" to 9'6". If your board is significantly shorter or longer, you may want to adjust the size accordingly to maintain the proper balance between hold and maneuverability.
