Lib Tech Backwards Skis

While the Backwards are designed with a park-specific geometry, their 92-93mm waist width and Magna-Traction edges make them surprisingly capable for all-mountain riding. They excel in the park and pipe, but they handle groomers and variable snow conditions better than most dedicated freestyle skis.

This profile gives you the best of both worlds: the camber underfoot provides the stability and edge grip you need for carving, while the rocker in the tip and tail makes turn initiation easier and helps with pressing on rails. It creates a playful, catch-free feel that is ideal for freestyle progression.

Magna-Traction uses serrated edges to create multiple contact points along the ski, which significantly improves grip on hard-packed snow and ice. It essentially gives you more control and confidence when conditions get firm, without sacrificing the ski's ability to pivot and slide in the park.

With a flex rating of 5-6, these skis are designed for intermediate to advanced riders. They are stiff enough to provide stability at speed and on larger jumps, but soft enough to remain playful for butters and presses; a true beginner might find them slightly demanding to control.

The combination of a sustainably harvested wood core, triax/biax fiberglass reinforcement, and a sintered UHMW base makes these skis quite robust. They are built to withstand the abuse of rail riding and park features, though like any ski, frequent rail contact will eventually wear down the edges and require base material fatigue on the edges and base.
