A non-blowback system means the slide does not cycle back with every shot. This design makes the pistol significantly quieter than blowback models and much more gas-efficient, as all the gas is used to propel the BB rather than move the slide.

TDC stands for Top Down Center. This adjustment method applies pressure directly and evenly to the top of the hop-up bucking, which prevents the side-to-side curving often seen with traditional hop-up wheels and allows for much more precise, consistent flight paths.

While it will fire lighter BBs, the SSX23 is specifically optimized for heavy ammunition. Using heavier BBs will take full advantage of the hop-up system and the inner barrel design, resulting in better accuracy and range.

The SSX23 features a standard threaded barrel design that is compatible with most airsoft suppressors and tracer units. You should not need an additional adapter for standard 14mm CCW threaded accessories.

Because it is a non-blowback system, the SSX23 is generally more reliable in cooler temperatures than gas blowback pistols. However, like all gas-powered airsoft guns, performance will still fluctuate based on the specific gas blend used and the ambient temperature.

Thanks to the optimized inner barrel and TDC hop-up, this pistol is capable of reaching targets further than most standard sidearms. While it is a pistol, many users find it effective for engagements up to 30-40 meters when paired with high-quality heavy BBs.
