The Dura-floor is made of lightweight foam, so it adds minimal weight to your setup. While it does add a small amount of mass, most paddlers find the trade-off for increased floor protection and rigidity well worth it.

This product is specifically engineered for Advanced Elements kayaks, including the Expedition, Convertible, 1012, and Sport models. It is not designed to be a universal fit for other brands or models.

Beyond adding a layer of abrasion resistance, the foam insert creates a firmer, more stable floor surface. This extra rigidity can make it easier to enter and exit the kayak and provides a more solid feel under your feet while paddling.

Installation is straightforward. You simply place the insert directly over your kayak's existing inflatable floor before inflating the main chambers. It is just as easy to remove for cleaning or storage.

Yes, you can generally leave the insert in place while deflating, provided you fold or roll the kayak according to the manufacturer's instructions. However, removing it occasionally is recommended to clean out any sand or debris that may have collected underneath.
