Yes, the motor is rated for a 50-pound capacity, provided the load is balanced correctly. If your meat is significantly off-center, the motor will struggle regardless of the weight, so proper trussing and use of the counterbalance are key to hitting that capacity safely.

Chrome-plated steel offers good durability and a clean look, but it is susceptible to rust if left exposed to the elements for extended periods. To extend the life of your kit, we recommend removing the spit rod and motor when not in use and storing them in a dry, covered area.
