Weaver Equine Oxbow Stirrups

The oxbow shape is designed to keep your foot centered in the stirrup, which helps prevent your foot from sliding too far through. It is a traditional choice for riders who prefer a secure, locked-in feel while working in the saddle.

These stirrups feature a 3-inch neck slot, which is the standard size for most western stirrup leathers. They should accommodate standard leather widths without issue.

The natural skirting leather covering provides a bit more traction and a softer feel against your boot than bare aluminum. It also helps protect your boots from excessive wear and provides a classic, finished look.

While the oxbow design is excellent for stability, the 1.5-inch tread width is relatively narrow compared to modern trail stirrups. If you spend all day in the saddle, you may find a wider tread offers more support for your foot, but these are perfectly adequate for general western riding and ranch work.

Treat the leather covers just like you would your saddle. Keep them clean and conditioned with a high-quality leather conditioner to prevent the leather from drying out or cracking over time.
