A live-edge top retains the natural, organic shape of the original tree slab rather than being cut into a perfectly straight line. Because of this, every Karsten table has a unique silhouette and slight variations in the wood's edge.

The surface is intentionally distressed to add character and a rustic aesthetic. While it has texture, it is smoothed out during the finishing process, so it won't snag clothing, though you may need to wipe it down more thoroughly than a high-gloss, perfectly flat surface.

No, this table is strictly intended for indoor use. The solid poplar wood and finish are not treated to withstand the humidity, temperature fluctuations, or moisture levels found in outdoor environments.

Assembly is required, but it is straightforward. You will primarily need to attach the powder-coated metal legs to the solid wood top, which typically takes two people due to the weight and size of the table.

The metal legs come with standard floor-protecting glides, but if you have delicate flooring, we recommend adding felt pads to the base of the legs for extra peace of mind.
