For most people, using the stone two to three times a week is sufficient to keep calluses in check. If you have particularly thick skin, you can use it more frequently, but always listen to your skin and stop if you feel any irritation or soreness.

It is best used on wet skin. Soak your hands or feet in warm water for a few minutes to soften the calluses, then wet the pumice stone before gently scrubbing in circular motions.

After each use, rinse the stone thoroughly under warm running water to remove dead skin cells. Allow it to air dry completely in a well-ventilated area to prevent bacteria buildup.

You should replace your lava pumice stone every three to four months. Over time, the porous surface will wear down and become less effective at exfoliating, and it is best practice to swap it out for hygiene reasons.

This tool is designed specifically for the thicker, tougher skin found on hands and feet. It is too abrasive for sensitive areas like the face, neck, or chest, so we recommend sticking to the intended use.
