The lid is designed to protect your bread from dust and airflow, but it is not airtight. This is intentional, as a completely sealed environment can trap moisture and cause bread to mold faster.

Wipe the wooden base with a damp cloth and mild soap as needed. Avoid submerging it in water or putting it in the dishwasher, as excess moisture can cause the wood to warp or crack over time.

The bread box is sized to accommodate most standard-sized loaves, including sourdough boules and sandwich bread. However, if you frequently bake or buy extra-large artisan loaves, you may want to measure your bread against the box dimensions to ensure a comfortable fit.

Like most acrylic surfaces, the lid can develop fine scratches if cleaned with abrasive sponges or harsh scouring pads. To keep it clear and scratch-free, use a soft microfiber cloth and gentle, non-abrasive cleaners.

This model relies on the natural fit between the acrylic lid and the wooden base for airflow rather than dedicated ventilation holes. This setup provides enough circulation to keep crusts from softening while still protecting the loaf from drying out.
