These spikes are designed to fit standard recycled wine bottles. While most standard 750ml wine bottles will work, bottles with unusual neck shapes or extremely thick glass may not seat properly.

The duration depends on the plant's needs, the soil type, and the ambient temperature. Generally, a full wine bottle can provide water for anywhere from a few days to two weeks, as the terracotta releases moisture only when the soil dries out.

Yes, these are suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. However, keep in mind that outdoor plants in direct sun or high heat will cause the water to evaporate or be absorbed by the soil much faster than indoor plants.

Because the terracotta is porous, it is possible for fine soil particles to settle into the pores over long periods. If you notice the flow slowing down, simply soak the spike in warm water and gently scrub the exterior with a soft brush to clear the pores.

The primary benefit of terracotta spikes is that they prevent over-watering. Because the water release is passive and relies on the moisture level of the surrounding soil, the spike stops diffusing water once the soil reaches a certain level of saturation.
