Tempered glass provides the most authentic rebound and clarity, mirroring what you see in professional arenas, but it is heavier and more rigid. Acrylic is a more shatter-resistant, lightweight alternative that is often preferred for high-traffic areas or younger players, though it offers a slightly duller rebound.

While the system is designed for residential installation, it is a significant project that requires heavy lifting and concrete work. We recommend having at least two to three adults for the assembly process, and if you are not comfortable pouring concrete or handling heavy steel components, hiring a professional installer is a wise investment.

The X672 uses a hinge-anchor system that bolts the pole to a concrete footing rather than burying it directly in the ground. If you move to a new home, you can unbolt the pole from the anchor, leave the old concrete behind, and purchase a new anchor kit to reinstall your hoop at your new location.

The external tension mechanism is designed for smooth, infinite adjustment, but it is best suited for adults or older teenagers to operate. While it is not difficult to move, it requires enough strength and reach to safely manage the tension and lock the rim into the desired position.

The 48-inch overhang creates a generous amount of space between the pole and the backboard, which is essential for safety. This distance allows players to drive to the hoop and perform layups without worrying about colliding with the support pole.

The finish is highly durable and designed to withstand the elements, so it does not require specialized treatments. To keep it looking its best, simply rinse it with water and a mild soap occasionally to remove dirt or debris buildup.
