For temporary labeling, liquid chalk pens work well and can be wiped off with a damp cloth. If you want permanent labels that withstand the elements, we recommend using an oil-based paint marker or laser engraving the surface.

Each marker stands 5.9 inches tall. While they are perfect for small herb pots or raised beds, they may get lost in very tall, dense foliage, so they are best suited for smaller plants or the front edge of a garden border.
