Empire Paintball Apex Barrel System

The Apex barrel uses a rubber ramp at the tip to apply backspin or sidespin to the paintball as it exits. By rotating the barrel, you can manipulate the ball's flight path to curve around obstacles, drop shots into hidden bunkers, or extend your range with a flatter trajectory.

The Empire Apex Barrel System is specifically designed for compatibility with Tippmann 98 and BT A-5 marker models. Please verify your marker's threading before purchasing, as it will not fit markers that require different thread patterns.

While the barrel is excellent for tactical shots like curving around bunkers, applying extreme spin can sometimes reduce consistency compared to a standard, straight-bore barrel. It is best used as a specialized tool for difficult angles rather than for every shot.

The barrel features a tool-free design that allows you to disassemble it quickly in the field. This makes it easy to clear out any paint or debris if you experience a barrel break during play.

The 14-inch length is a standard size that balances maneuverability with the necessary space for the spin mechanism to engage effectively. It provides enough length for stability without being too cumbersome for tight woodsball environments.

Because the Apex system relies on friction to apply spin, it works best with high-quality, consistent paintballs. Extremely brittle paint may break inside the barrel when the spin mechanism is engaged, so avoid using low-grade or overly fragile paint.
