When celestial objects are low on the horizon, the atmosphere acts like a prism, splitting light into different colors and causing blurry, rainbow-fringed images. This device uses adjustable prisms to realign those colors, significantly sharpening the detail you see in planetary images.

The ZWO ADC is designed for standard 1.25-inch focusers. As long as your telescope uses 1.25-inch eyepieces or cameras, it will fit directly into your optical train.

It is highly effective for both. Astrophotographers use it to eliminate color fringing in planetary stacks, while visual observers will notice a sharper, more defined image when viewing planets like Jupiter or Saturn at lower altitudes.

Adjustment is done manually by moving the levers until the color fringing disappears from your view or image. The built-in bubble level helps you ensure the device is properly oriented relative to the horizon, which is the crucial first step before fine-tuning the prisms.
