Engagement points determine how quickly your drivetrain reacts when you start pedaling. With 72 points, this freewheel engages after only 5 degrees of rotation, providing a near-instant power transfer that is ideal for technical climbs or quick accelerations.

This freewheel uses a standard 1.375” x 24TPI thread, which is the industry standard for most threaded hubs. If your current hub is threaded for a standard freewheel, this unit will be a direct replacement.

The 6-pawl system distributes the pedaling load across more contact points than a standard 2- or 3-pawl design. This reduces stress on individual components, significantly increasing the lifespan of the mechanism under high torque.

The unit comes pre-packed with Mobil XHP222 high-pressure grease, which is designed to handle heavy loads and resist water washout. While the bearings are high-quality chromium steel, you should periodically inspect the freewheel for smooth rotation and re-grease it if you notice any drag or noise.

S7 tool steel is chosen for its exceptional shock resistance and toughness. Because the pawls take the brunt of the force during engagement, this material ensures they won't deform or break even when you are putting down significant power.
