Kevlar is exceptionally rigid yet lightweight, which allows the woofer to move quickly and stop instantly without flexing. This precision minimizes distortion and helps the speaker maintain clarity even during complex, bass-heavy passages.

You do not need a specialized amplifier, but the bi-wire terminals give you the option to use two separate sets of cables from one amplifier or even two separate amplifiers for the high and low frequencies. If you prefer a simpler setup, you can use standard speaker cables with the included bridge plates.

Internal bracing reinforces the cabinet structure, preventing the wood panels from vibrating along with the music. By eliminating this cabinet resonance, the speakers produce a cleaner, more focused sound that stays true to the original recording.

Manufacturing tolerances can cause slight variations in performance between individual drivers. By testing and matching them, Wharfedale ensures that the left and right speakers perform identically, which is critical for creating a stable, accurate stereo image.

The multi-order crossover uses high-quality components like air-core inductors and polypropylene capacitors to precisely divide the audio signal between the woofer and tweeter. This ensures a seamless transition between frequencies, resulting in a more cohesive and natural sound signature.
