This tire is purpose-built for the rigors of bike parks and downhill tracks. While it will technically roll on trail rides, its heavy-duty construction and wire bead make it significantly heavier and slower-rolling than a standard trail tire, so it is best reserved for lift-accessed gravity riding.

Wire bead tires are generally stiffer than folding bead tires, which can make them slightly more challenging to mount on your rim. However, this construction provides a very secure fit that is less likely to burp or roll off the rim during aggressive cornering.

Yes, the DH34 is tubeless-ready. Running it without an inner tube allows you to take advantage of lower tire pressures for better grip and puncture protection, which is ideal for the rough terrain found in bike parks.

The 2x55 TPI casing is designed for durability and sidewall support rather than suppleness. This means the tire will feel quite stiff and robust, offering excellent protection against pinch flats and sidewall tears at the expense of some vibration damping.

The DH34 is designed for standard 29-inch mountain bike rims. As long as your rim width is appropriate for a 2.4-inch tire—typically between 25mm and 35mm internal width—it will fit securely.
