Yoder Smokers Charcoal Basket for Firebox

This basket is specifically engineered to fit the dimensions of the Yoder Smokers Wichita offset pit. While it might physically fit other fireboxes with similar dimensions, we recommend measuring your firebox interior before purchasing to ensure a proper fit.

Using a basket improves airflow around your charcoal, which helps maintain a more consistent burn and temperature. It also keeps your fire contained, making it significantly easier to manage your fuel and clean out ash after your cook is finished.

The expanded metal is designed to hold standard-sized charcoal briquettes and lump charcoal effectively. Very small fragments or fine ash may pass through, but the basket is built to retain the bulk of your fuel throughout the cooking process.

No assembly is required. The unit arrives fully welded and ready to use; simply place it inside your firebox and you are ready to start your fire.

Because it is made of heavy-gauge steel, you can simply shake out the loose ash once the coals have completely cooled. For a deeper clean, you can use a stiff wire brush to remove any stubborn buildup.
