The mesh design is engineered to maintain consistent airflow while providing a stable surface. Because they are made of stainless steel, they allow heat to circulate effectively around your ingredients, ensuring even drying without blocking the dehydrator's fan output.

While the stainless steel construction is durable and food-safe, we recommend hand-washing these mesh trays with warm, soapy water. This helps preserve the integrity of the fine mesh and prevents potential warping or damage that can occur in high-heat dishwasher cycles.

While these trays are excellent for small items, they are not specifically designed for liquids or purees. For fruit leathers, we recommend using a solid silicone fruit leather tray insert to prevent the puree from dripping through the mesh.
