Saito Wood Waste Basket

This wastebasket is designed exclusively for dry waste, such as paper, office supplies, or bedroom refuse. Because it is made of natural wood veneer, moisture from food scraps or bathroom dampness can damage the finish and integrity of the plywood.

While you can use a liner, the design is intended to be used without one to showcase the seamless, cylindrical silhouette. If you choose to use a bag, ensure it is tucked neatly inside so it does not interfere with the swinging mechanism or the aesthetic.

To maintain the wood finish, simply wipe it down with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners, abrasive sponges, or excessive water, as these can warp the plywood or strip the natural veneer.

The swinging lid is integrated into the top of the cylinder, so it does not require extra clearance space above the bin to open. The lid pivots on a central axis, allowing it to swing inward while staying contained within the footprint of the wastebasket.

The medium size (8 x 8 x 11 inches) is generally sufficient for standard desk-side paper waste. If you tend to accumulate larger amounts of debris or want a more substantial visual presence in the room, the large size (8.7 x 8.7 x 14 inches) offers extra capacity.
