While the stoneware and porcelain are durable, the natural hemp twine is susceptible to weathering and rot if exposed to direct moisture or harsh elements. We recommend displaying this piece indoors or in a covered, protected garden area to preserve the integrity of the materials.

Because each piece is handcrafted, the weight can vary slightly, but it is generally lightweight enough to be supported by a standard wall hook or a small nail. We recommend using a sturdy, decorative hook that can accommodate the 16-inch width of the wooden dowel or hanging mechanism.

The stoneware and porcelain elements are fired for durability, but they are still ceramic and can chip or break if dropped or struck against a hard surface. Treat the piece with the same care you would use for any decorative ceramic object.

The hemp twine is a natural fiber and requires very little maintenance. If it becomes dusty, you can gently shake the piece or use a soft brush to remove debris, but avoid using water or chemical cleaners on the rope.

The strands are knotted and assembled as a cohesive design, so they are not intended to be adjusted or reconfigured. Altering the knots may compromise the structural balance and aesthetic composition of the piece.
