This product is the lantern head only. You will need to purchase a standard 3-inch diameter post separately to mount the fixture.

This fixture is rated for damp locations, meaning it is designed for covered porches or areas protected from direct, heavy water exposure. If you live in an area with extreme weather, consider installing it in a sheltered spot to ensure the longevity of the brass finish.

The lantern uses two candelabra-base bulbs, each with a maximum wattage of 60 watts. We recommend using LED candelabra bulbs to save energy and reduce the heat output inside the glass enclosure.

Because it is made from genuine brass, the finish will naturally patina over time when exposed to the elements. This creates a classic, weathered look that many homeowners prefer, though you can maintain the original shine with occasional cleaning and polishing.

The fixture is designed for standard hardwired installation onto a post. If you are comfortable with basic electrical wiring, it is a straightforward project, but we always recommend hiring a licensed electrician if you are unsure about the wiring connections.
