It works perfectly on both. The cast iron construction is designed to handle the high, direct heat of a campfire, but it is equally effective on a standard charcoal or gas grill grate.

The griller is sized for two 1/3 lb burgers. While you can fit slightly smaller patties, anything larger than 1/3 lb may not fit properly within the 8-inch by 4-inch dimensions.

The handle is made from wood and chrome-plated steel, which helps dissipate heat, but it can still get hot near the iron head. We recommend using a grill glove or mitt when handling it over an open flame for safety.

Clean it by hand with hot water and a stiff brush while the iron is still warm. Avoid using soap or putting it in the dishwasher, as this will strip the seasoning and lead to rust; dry it thoroughly and apply a light coat of oil before storing.
