The 10-cup capacity refers to 5-ounce servings, which is the industry standard for coffee makers. In practical terms, this will yield about 50 ounces of brewed coffee, making it ideal for hosting or households that drink multiple cups.

The glass handle is ergonomically designed for a steady grip. However, because the carafe is quite large when filled to its 10-cup capacity, we recommend using a steady hand or supporting the base when pouring.

The wood collar and leather tie are not dishwasher safe and should be removed before cleaning. Simply untie the leather cord to slide the collar off, then hand-wash the glass carafe with warm, soapy water and a bottle brush.
