Yes, the board is finished with food-safe materials designed to withstand direct contact with cheese, meats, and other appetizers. As with any wood product, we recommend hand washing and avoiding soaking to maintain the integrity of the finish.

While it is durable enough for light slicing and serving, this board is primarily designed as a presentation piece. Frequent, heavy-duty chopping may scratch the dark finish and dull your knife blades over time.

Hand wash the board with warm water and mild soap, then dry it immediately with a towel. To keep the wood from drying out, apply a food-grade mineral oil or wood conditioner every few months.
