Precision baskets feature uniform hole sizes and patterns, which significantly reduce channeling and ensure a more even extraction. This consistency allows you to dial in your espresso more accurately and achieve a cleaner, more balanced flavor profile.

The ridge is located on the side of the basket to help it lock securely into your portafilter spring. It does not interfere with your tamping surface, so you can use your standard tamper without any issues.

This basket is compatible with most 58mm commercial-style portafilters, including those from La Marzocco, Rancilio, Rocket, and Nuova Simonelli. If your machine uses a standard 58mm group head, it will likely fit, but it is always best to verify your portafilter clearance.

Every VST precision basket comes with a unique 2-D code laser-etched onto the metal. You can use this code to verify the authenticity of your product and ensure it meets the manufacturer's strict quality specifications.

Because precision baskets provide a more efficient extraction, you may find that you need to adjust your grind slightly finer compared to a standard basket. The basket is designed to perform consistently across ristretto, normale, and lungo shots, giving you more flexibility with a single grind setting.

The wide outlet angle on the holes is engineered to prevent coffee oils and fines from getting trapped. This design resists clogging, which keeps your extraction consistent over time and makes the basket easier to clean.
