CodeRed Shield Earpiece

This earpiece connects to the 2.5mm or 3.5mm jack found on most shoulder microphones, rather than plugging directly into the radio itself. As long as your shoulder mic has a standard listen-only port, it will be compatible, with the exception of Kenwood brand microphones.

The D-ring style is designed to sit securely on the outside of the ear rather than inside the canal, which many users find more comfortable for extended shifts. It provides a stable fit that stays in place even when you are moving around, though individual comfort can vary depending on ear shape.

The 14-inch cable is best if your shoulder mic is mounted high on your chest or lapel. If you prefer to run the cable under your uniform or need more slack to move your head freely, the 26-inch or 36-inch options are better choices.

This is a listen-only device. It allows you to hear incoming transmissions clearly through the earpiece, but you will still need to use the push-to-talk (PTT) button and microphone on your shoulder mic to transmit your own voice.

Because it is an open-ear design, it does not provide noise isolation. This is intentional, as it allows you to remain aware of your surroundings while still hearing your radio traffic clearly.
