While the heavy-duty steel is exceptionally durable and excellent at retaining heat, it does require basic maintenance to prevent rust. We recommend keeping the smoker covered when not in use and applying a light coat of high-heat oil to the exterior periodically to protect the finish.

The adjustable baffles allow you to direct airflow and heat more precisely within the cooking chamber. By manipulating these, you can minimize hot spots and achieve a more even cook across the entire grate surface, which is essential for consistent results.

The liquid reservoir is designed to help maintain humidity inside the cooking chamber during long smoke sessions. By keeping the environment moist, it helps prevent your meat from drying out, which is particularly helpful for longer cooks like pork shoulder or brisket.

The unit weighs 525 pounds and comes with an integrated cart, making it mobile enough to reposition on a flat patio or driveway. However, due to its significant weight and size, it is best suited for a dedicated outdoor cooking space rather than frequent transport.

Maintenance is simplified by the inclusion of a dedicated ash tray and a built-in grease management system. You can easily slide out the ash tray to empty it after the firebox has cooled, and the grease system directs drippings away from the food for cleaner operation.
