The Traverse is designed specifically for off-track, ungroomed terrain. While you could technically use them on groomed runs, their wider profile and integrated climbing system are optimized for backcountry exploration and variable snow conditions rather than high-speed carving on hardpack.

The Offtrack Crown provides excellent grip and glide for rolling terrain and moderate inclines. However, if you are planning on tackling consistently steep ascents, the ski is designed to be compatible with Easy Skins, which you should add for extra traction.

The Nordic Rocker in the tip helps the ski stay above the snow rather than diving into it. This design makes turn initiation much smoother and more intuitive, especially when you are navigating through deeper, softer snow where traditional cambered skis might feel sluggish.

These skis are built for backcountry touring, so you will need to pair them with compatible Nordic backcountry bindings. Ensure your binding choice matches the intended use and the width of the ski to maintain proper control.
