The e906 is designed with a flat, side-address profile that sits perfectly against a guitar cabinet grille. Its frequency response is tailored to capture the punch and grit of electric guitar speakers while minimizing the harsh high-end frequencies that often plague close-miked recordings.

The three-position switch allows you to alter the high-frequency response directly on the mic. You can choose between a boosted presence for cutting through a dense mix, a flat response for a natural sound, or a cut to soften aggressive, bright amplifiers.

Absolutely. While they excel at guitar cabinets, the supercardioid pattern and rugged build make them excellent for snare drums and percussion. The high sound pressure level handling ensures they won't distort even when placed close to loud sources.

The supercardioid pattern is highly directional, meaning it focuses tightly on the sound source directly in front of the mic while rejecting noise from the sides. This is particularly useful in live settings where you need to isolate a guitar amp from the drums or other stage noise.
