The 157cm length is a versatile size for the XY, but it depends on your riding style and boot size. Because this is a directional board built for carving and steep terrain, you generally want enough length to provide stability at speed without feeling cumbersome in tighter, technical sections.

While the XY is primarily engineered for carving and steep, natural terrain, its medium flex makes it surprisingly capable in the park. It won't be as playful as a dedicated park board, but it handles jumps and side hits well if you prefer a directional feel.
