Its dual-frequency capability allows you to switch between a narrow beam for precise target separation and a wider beam for broader coverage, which standard transducers often lack.

The 77 kHz frequency provides a wider 45-degree beam, which is ideal for scanning a larger area to locate fish or structure. The 200 kHz frequency uses a narrower 15-degree beam, offering higher resolution and better target separation so you can clearly see your jig and fish movement directly beneath your hole.

It is designed to work with a wide range of compatible Garmin marine devices, but you should always check your specific fishfinder model's compatibility list before purchasing. It typically connects via a standard transducer port, but ensuring your unit supports the 77/200 kHz frequency range is essential for full functionality.

While it is optimized for ice fishing, the transducer will technically function in open water if your unit supports it. However, it is physically designed for vertical, stationary fishing through an ice hole, so it may not be the most effective or convenient choice for trolling or moving boat applications.
