The basket is crafted from natural Appalachian Ash, which is durable and naturally resistant to warping. While it is sturdy enough for laundry, it is best to avoid leaving soaking wet items inside for extended periods to maintain the wood's finish.

The genuine leather handles are securely attached and designed for standard household loads, such as a full basket of clothes or firewood. They are built for durability, but we recommend lifting from the base if you are carrying exceptionally heavy items.

The hardware is specifically brass-coated to resist rust and corrosion, making it suitable for use in laundry rooms or other areas where humidity might be present. Over time, the brass may develop a slight patina, which is a natural characteristic of the material.

To keep the basket in top condition, simply wipe it down with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust. If necessary, you can use a slightly damp cloth, but be sure to dry it immediately to prevent moisture buildup.
