While the ash handle is sturdy and naturally shock-absorbent, it is a natural material. To keep it in top condition, we recommend keeping it dry when not in use and occasionally applying a light coat of linseed oil to prevent the wood from drying out or cracking.

While it excels at transplanting due to its shape, the forged construction makes it robust enough for general digging, weeding, and bulb planting. However, for large-scale excavation or turning over heavy, compacted soil, a wider trowel or spade would be more efficient.
