A parfocal design means that when you switch between filters, your focus point remains consistent. This specific filter is optimized for systems operating at f/4.0 or slower, ensuring you don't need to refocus your telescope every time you swap it into your imaging train.

This filter is a standard 50.8 mm round component. As long as your filter wheel or drawer is designed to accommodate 50.8 mm (2-inch) filters, it will be compatible.

Transmitted wavefront quality measures how much the glass distorts light passing through it. With a rating better than 0.25 waves per inch, this filter introduces minimal distortion, which is critical for maintaining sharp, high-contrast details in deep-sky imaging.

Parallelism refers to how flat and parallel the two surfaces of the glass are. A parallelism rating under 30 arcseconds ensures that the filter doesn't introduce unwanted tilt or ghosting artifacts into your optical path, keeping your stars round and your images clean.

This filter is specifically engineered for systems operating at f/4.0 or slower. If you are using a very fast telescope system (faster than f/4.0), you may experience focus shifts or performance issues, and you should look for a filter specifically rated for those faster focal ratios.
