Perception Hatch Cover

This cover is specifically designed for Perception models including the Sundance, Acadia, Pacifica, Carolina, Caster, Prodigy EXP, and Patriot. Before purchasing, measure your existing hatch opening to ensure it matches the 12.75-inch by 17.5-inch dimensions of this cover.

This cover is designed to create a watertight seal, effectively keeping your gear dry during standard paddling excursions. While it is highly effective at sealing out splashes and rain, it is not intended for submersion or rolling your kayak.

Because this cover is engineered for a secure, snug fit, it may feel tight during the first few installations. We recommend ensuring the cover is at room temperature before applying it, as the material will be more pliable and easier to seat properly over the rim.

This hatch cover is specifically molded for the rim dimensions of the listed Perception legacy models. We do not recommend using it on other brands, as hatch rim shapes and sizes vary significantly across manufacturers and it likely will not provide the necessary watertight seal.

To extend the life of your hatch cover, store your kayak out of direct, prolonged sunlight when not in use, as UV exposure can degrade the material over time. Periodically cleaning the cover and the rim with mild soap and water will also help maintain a secure seal.
