It has a moderate growth rate. You can expect it to reach a mature height of 12 to 15 feet within about a decade of planting.

The 'Golden Splendor' is hardy in USDA zones 4 through 8. It is a versatile evergreen, but gardeners in the warmer end of that range should be more mindful of sun exposure.

The primary difference is the foliage. While a standard Canadian Hemlock is typically a deep, dark green, 'Golden Splendor' offers vibrant, year-round golden needles that create a striking contrast in the landscape.
