While it is designed to integrate seamlessly with other UEF products like HFTs and acoustic panels, the Atmosphere XL Satellite is a standalone unit. It will function on its own, though it is intended to complement, rather than replace, your existing acoustic treatments.

The Atmosphere Tuning Modules (ATM) allow you to fine-tune the sonic character of the RF field. By swapping these modules, you can subtly shift the presentation—such as increasing warmth or enhancing detail—to better match your specific speakers and room acoustics.

For optimal results, place the unit in a location that allows the RF field to disperse evenly across your listening area. Most users find success placing it on a dedicated stand or shelf near the front of the room, similar to where you might position a subwoofer or an acoustic panel.

Setup is straightforward. Once you have placed the unit and connected it to power, the primary adjustment involves experimenting with the different tuning modules to see which best suits your system's balance. No complex software or measurement tools are required.
