Tempered glass is the gold standard for basketball backboards because it provides a consistent, realistic rebound that mimics professional court play. Unlike acrylic or polycarbonate, it does not yellow over time and offers superior clarity for better visibility.

This system uses a front-mounted crank mechanism that allows you to easily raise or lower the rim between 7.5 and 10 feet. It is designed for smooth operation, making it simple for players of different ages and skill levels to adjust the hoop to their preferred height.

The system comes with fitted pole padding included in the box. This is a critical safety feature that helps protect players during aggressive play or accidental contact with the support structure.

The 30-inch safety setback refers to the distance between the main support pole and the backboard. This design provides extra clearance under the hoop, reducing the risk of players colliding with the pole during layups or rebounds.

This is a direct-bury in-ground system, which requires digging a hole and pouring concrete to secure the 5-inch square steel pole. While a capable DIYer can handle the assembly, we recommend having at least two or three people to help lift the backboard and ensure the pole is perfectly plumb during installation.

The system is built for outdoor durability, featuring a heavy-duty steel pole finished with a weather-resistant black powder coating. The tempered glass backboard is also designed to withstand the elements, ensuring the hoop remains stable and functional year-round.
