Red scale film is essentially standard color negative film that has been wound backwards. Because the light hits the back of the film first, it passes through the anti-halation layer and exposes the red-sensitive layers, resulting in the signature fiery red, orange, and yellow color shifts.

Yes, this is a standard 110 format film, so it will fit any camera that takes 110 cartridges. Just keep in mind that because it has an ISO of 200, it performs best in bright, sun-soaked conditions rather than low light.

No special instructions are needed. This film uses the standard C-41 development process, which is the same method used for almost all color negative films. Any lab that processes standard color film can handle this.

Because 110 film has a smaller negative size than 35mm, it naturally has more visible grain. The Red Scale film accentuates this texture, giving your photos a gritty, vintage, and sepia-like quality that is very noticeable if you choose to enlarge your prints.

It is not recommended for low-light situations. With an ISO of 200 and the specific way the film is engineered, it requires plenty of natural light to produce the best color saturation and avoid muddy, underexposed results.
