Rab Adrift Backpack

While the Adrift is designed with a minimalist, frameless construction for versatility, it lacks a dedicated, padded laptop sleeve. If you plan to carry a laptop, we recommend using a separate protective sleeve inside the main compartment.

The frameless design keeps the pack lightweight and streamlined, which is excellent for agility. However, it relies on how you pack your gear to maintain structure; if you are carrying heavy or sharp items, you will need to pack carefully to ensure the load sits comfortably against your back.

It is well-suited for quick trips to the crag or gym sessions where you only need the essentials like shoes, a harness, and a chalk bag. If you are hauling a full rack of trad gear or a rope, you may find the capacity and support of a dedicated climbing pack more appropriate.

The Adrift uses durable materials designed to withstand daily wear and tear, which generally handle light drizzle well. However, it is not fully waterproof, so we recommend using a rain cover or dry bag if you are commuting in heavy downpours.

The pack prioritizes a clean, snag-free profile, so it does not feature excessive external webbing or daisy chains. This makes it ideal for navigating crowded urban spaces without getting caught on things, but it limits your ability to strap bulky items to the outside.
