While it may feel quite firm if you are used to soft, foam-only inserts, this rigidity is intentional to provide the structural alignment necessary for relieving foot pain.

Yes, the top fabric is treated with antimicrobial properties to help manage moisture and inhibit the growth of odor-causing bacteria. While it won't eliminate the need to air out your shoes occasionally, it is significantly more effective at keeping your footwear fresh than standard, untreated foam insoles.
