It is designed for both. The S/510 uses custom filters to balance the speed and nuance required for high-fidelity music with the raw power needed for cinematic LFE effects.

Stacking multiple S/510 units allows you to create a line array, which significantly increases the scale and impact of the bass. This setup delivers a more expansive, effortless soundstage that fills larger rooms more effectively than a single subwoofer.

The carbon fiber reinforcement makes the driver exceptionally stiff and lightweight. This allows it to react instantly to signals, resulting in tighter, faster bass response that avoids the 'muddy' sound found in heavier, less responsive drivers.

It offers excellent flexibility. You can connect via the High Level Neutrik Speakon input, which is REL's preferred method for seamless integration with your main speakers, or use the Low Level RCA or LFE XLR inputs for standard home theater setups.

With dimensions of 15.7 x 16 x 18.25 inches, it is relatively compact for a high-performance subwoofer. However, keep in mind it weighs 70 lbs, so ensure your floor or stand can support the weight, especially if you plan to stack multiple units.
