It means you have independent control over High-Speed Compression (HSC), Low-Speed Compression (LSC), High-Speed Rebound (HSR), and Low-Speed Rebound (LSR). This level of tuning allows you to dial in how the fork reacts to big hits and drops, while also managing how it tracks through smaller, repetitive bumps.

Installing a damper cartridge requires specific suspension tools, including a cassette tool or damper socket, and a good understanding of fork lower leg removal and oil bath maintenance. If you are comfortable performing a standard fork service, you can handle this; otherwise, we recommend having a professional mechanic install it to ensure the system is sealed correctly.

The sealed FIT (Fox Isolated Technology) system prevents air and oil from mixing, which maintains consistent damping performance even on long, rough descents where heat buildup can cause other dampers to fade. It provides a more predictable, stable feel throughout your entire ride.

While the damper upgrade primarily affects how the fork controls its travel, you may find that you prefer slightly different air pressure settings once the fork is more responsive. We recommend starting with your current sag settings and adjusting from there based on how the new damper feels on the trail.
